Checkout the new Battlefield 3 graphics in this movie. I heard that Play Station 3 and AMD ATI share the same graphics, where us Nvidia people get the full effect.

I see nothing wrong in the PS3/ATI edition, I just prefer the real deal with my GTX580. The game really rocks so far, fun and intense.

I was able to bump my core clocks up a little by reducing the memory clocks.

1.125, max I can go on the TFII. My driver crashes at any higher clocks than 970. My temps are fine as my test bench is directly under an a/c vent, so it stays nice and cool, if I could get some more volts I'm sure I could get the core higher.

I went ahead and started overclocking my 580 SC

Stock: 797 Core, 1594 Shader, 2025 Memory.

Overclocked: 855 Core, 1710 Shader, 2025 Memory (RAM untouched).

I'm using Afterburner and the voltage is still at stock, is this a good overclock so far?

I've done preliminary stability testing and it's good so far, I'm gonna do full testing using 3dmark 11, Furmark, and EVGA OC Scanner for a couple of hours to fully test for stability.

Is this normal so far?

I have same GPU - EVGA GTX 580 SC - default 1.0880v. My 24/7 over clock is 10% which is actually 13% over vanilla EVGA GTX 580's @875/1750/2062 since February. No need to test it. I have been running games flawlessly.

As for testing it, Furmark is a GPU killer. Instead over clock it in .15Hz increments. Run a 3DMark11 'performance' test. IF you get through that you'll have your score. Can spark up one of your more demanding games and give it a run for an hour. Record your max temps.

Your CPU is over clocked very very nicely and you'll not get any bottlenecks. Your GPU usage should be pegged at 99% after your testing is done.

My highest I've tried with 1.100v was @923Mhz core. 3DMark11 score 7167. My CPU i7 950 was over clocked to 3.70Ghz.

That's good for stock voltage. I can run at 850MHz core at stock voltage 100% stable.

Is it just Furmark that can kill GPUs? I was about to run EVGA OC Scanner overnight (8+ hours) to check for stability and artifacts (it does that automatically), will that be bad for my GPU too?
