I don't want to seem like I've got too much going on for such things, but honestly I just haven't been bothered/haven't gotten to it. Still another couple of weeks right? I'm sure I will get to it. I don't have pics or numbers on hand already because I'm not really a bencher, I don't even have any 3dmarks installed right now, but I'm sure I'll get to it eventually.

Broke my Graphics score record

New bios, fresh windows install, and back to 285.27 drivers. Just a quick run, with bad memory freq and timings (I am on 4 dimms):

I see that the 2x EVGA GTX580's that I am getting this week come at 772MHz / 1544MHz for stock.

What should I be able to hit on stock voltage? I'm a bit skeptical about giving it any voltage bump for now, if something happened to them I'd have to send them back to the US for RMA, so I am going to stick to stock voltages for now.

I would shoot for 900 Might not get it. No voltage bump?? Wheres the fun it that. The stock 580's I've seen come in at 1.0v The superclock (which is the exact same card) I've seen them at 1.088v

So I would think 1.1v would be perfectly fine. But thats me. I ran mine on air at 1.125v/925 for the week it had no block. Never went above 73c. The ram and vregs have thermal pads and a heatsink plate over them, so they are not bear like some cards.

Like I said, I am not going to touch the voltage for now. I'm asking what clocks can a EVGA GTX580 normally achieve on stock volts?

Maybe 820MHz? 840MHz?

I've got mine a mild 13% OC over vanillla clocks at my default 1.0880v. Which equals @ 875Mhz Core clock. No voltage bumps, unless I'm benching. It's been like this 24/7 since February 2011.

I like the even numbers. Pixel Fillrate 42.0 Gpixel/s - Texture Fillrate 56.0 GTexel/s - Bandwidth 198.0 GB/s.

I don't bother much with memory over clocks because the yields are marginal and come with a heavier temps in doing so. Hope this helps bud.

The first owner of the cards told me he did 900/1800/2004 @ 1100mV

- Are they good cards for OC'ing? Or average? bad?

- Would that OC for 24/7 be safe on air?

That's actually a pretty decent overclock, and its perfectly safe. My card takes 1500mV for those same clocks (1.15v). You are MORE than safe running 1.10v on those cards, just make sure they stay cool enough.
