[Official] GTX 580 Overclocking Club - Page 23

This is the best I've been able to do in 3dmark11. So close to 13000 I can almost taste it!

That's CPU OC'd to 4800mhz and the 580's clocked to 940mhz. No matter what I do to the voltage I can't get any higher on my gpu OC for some reason. Temps are fine at about 78C...
I have done another run and with my current i7 950 overclock of 4.1 GHZ which cannot be increased since my watercooling is incomplete this is my maximum for 1GHZ.

I can now set the voltage a little lower with the Forceware 266. I managed to go down to 1.187V instead of 1.20V

At this point I would like to congratulate you all to great overclocking results and benchmark achievements.

I think we have some favourites though

FTW 420 the LN2 Maniac that is just molesting those 580´s xD
topdog his little brother.
Majin SSJ Eric the SLI beast
Jagz and cba which started from 0 also constantly improving.

and many many others that just refuse to leave their overclock alone , benchmark scores and tolerance to more.

I really enjoy experiencing so much enthusiasm for what we are all doing!!

Keep it up guys you are all making this thread not only extremely helpful to others but also very exciting to be a part of

You misunderstood what I meant, I just thought it was cooler ranked via core clock than ranked via a score the CPU can greatly effect. How is that complaining?

78° is a good & safe temp, but for overclocking & benching the colder the better. Running cards on air & water I sit out in the garage freezing my ass off in winter to get higher benching stable clocks. Still gets to pretty cool at night here, that's how I ran the sli reference 580's on water at 974 core for my last sli 3d11 score, they wouldn't do 950 indoors.

Did you take a look at the OP?

It still is ranked by Core Clock range.

The only modification I have done was adding benchmark scores and ranking those who have them higher then those who don´t to encourage more people of posting benchmark results.

To prove the stability of their clocks and develop the thread further by not just offering overclocking results but also corresponding benchmark scores.

I think not only concentrating on overclocking but also trying to bring the results achieved with that overclock to attention is a good idea

Let´s not fight

I really did my best with the OP and I still hope that you can enjoy and appreciate what I have done.

btw I am very happy to see how you are constantly improving your oc

Please run the benchmark in performance mode in order to be competitive to the others.

Nobodyelse has conducted 3DMark11 with Extreme settings so unfortunetly they are incomparable until you have a Performance result.

But be sure that I will add the Xtreme results to the Performance ones

BTW I like your temps

Edit: There, I too did 3DMark11 in Performance Mode.
I am not satisfied but can´t really figure out what is keeping my scores low.
Or is 3DMark11 just not like Vantage and 200-400 Points difference means a lot more here?
Cause others at lower cores are only 400-200 points away^^
I can only do the graphics scores because my CPU will burn in the physX test^^since I am on the stock heatsink ..maybe it would boost the scores a little if I ran the whole thing.
