That's a nice clocking 980x buddy

A good 980x-990x will have a voltage of about 1.25v for 4GHz for the guy asking.

Not sure about the b1 code thing. Yeah my rig passed 20 runs with max memory used( very demanding ). I could go for 4.7GHz, but I need more cooling. I pretty much just OC'd my ram to this speed and called it a day. I only need just over 1.61v for this speed.

im gone try linx tonight maybe if i got time left, have a ton of settings to try out whats the max you would recommend on water V wise? at 5100 after wprime1024 highest i had was 72C
post #2217 of 3582
I recommend 1.45v max. But with your cooling, I'd go just below 1.5v max.

1.45v max for the QPI/VTT voltage aswell( uncore )

For benching, that's more than fine. You won't hurt the chip because of your superb cooling.

But back it down under 1.5v for 24/7 usage.

ahhh no worries im not planning to go over 4.5ghz for 24/7 i rarely game and for web browsing and movie watching 980x at 4.5ghz should be sufficient im asking about benches, wondering how much head room do i still have what do you think about 1.65-1.675 on single stage so idle around -53/-50c?
