true that!

hopefully he updates them soon.

edit: here is my new entry to the club/ benchmarking leaderboards.

I'm just going to make that my new entry benchmark if possible tongue.gif

I've gotten the airflow situation as good as I can get it given the case. I have a Nexus Basic 120mm in the GPU bracket below the card as an intake, and a Nexus Basic 80mm exhaust fan near the output bracket of the card blowing hot air out of the case. My options seem to be quite limited since noise is a concern.

I have played around with E-LEET and it seems this card will do 900/1800/2100MHz with a GPU voltage of 1.050v. 920 on the core and anything higher on the memory causes artifacts and/or crashing in Heaven. Temps have dropped to 84-85'C and fan speed to a very quiet 63-65%. I will have to play plenty of BF3 to confirm this is stable but if it is I think I will be happy with it.

Small update.

900/1800/2100MHz needs a minimum of 1.075v to run stably on BF3 (no crashes or artifacts), compared to 925/1850/2100MHz needing 1.088v.

I can do 880/1760/2100MHz with as little as 1.038v, and 850/1700/2100MHz with as little as 1.025v! Both are Heaven-stable and stable in BF3 as well. Fan speed drops 8-12% compared to 1.088v (mid-low 60s vs low 70s) while temps drop 3'C-5'C under load compared to 1.088v (mid-low 80s vs 88-89).

HOWEVER.

Running at less than 920/1840/2100MHz forces me to bump MSAA in BF3 down to 2x for smooth playability (1080P, Ultra preset, FXAA off, MB off, HBAO on, 90 FOV). I don't like my FPS to dip below 50 and it basically never does at 920 on the core with 4x MSAA. With even 20MHz less my FPS drops into the high 40s quite frequently, so I have to take that MSAA down.

I am at an impasse. frown.gif Temps and noise vs. performance. I see some of you guys have load temps 20-25'C lower than mine and it makes me a sad panda.

My furmark might be messed up though, because I noticed GPU1 was always at 99% load and GPU was at 40-50 the whole time so im not 100% positive.

These cards aren't meant to be used with Furmark or programs like OCCT, they will throttle.

Seems like your lightnings aren't doing as good as most the others here. Even my reference card can do 950 @ 1.15v I wonder if you can drop that voltage?

so i just ran 3dmark11 and when it shows my score online there is an orange box at the top that says my results will not be shown on the leaderboards because my graphics drivers are not approved. what does that mean? i just downloaded the latest drivers (current driver is 285.62) a couple days ago. is there something i should do or have they just not "approved" or whatever the latest version of the drivers yet?

That's normal. It always takes FM a while to approve new nV driver sets.

You can always get one of these:
http://www.arctic.ac/en/p/cooling/vga/376/accelero-xtreme-plus-ii.html?c=2182

My card came with one and I can't hear it when the fans are maxed out at 85%. Unless my case is open and my ear is within 1-2 inches of the video card, I can't tell any difference in sound when I ramp the fans up from 30% to 85%. Very quiet. At 990MHz, 1.150v, the highest temps I see are 66 degrees. 59 degrees was the max temp I saw at 925MHz 1.1v. For more test/temps with that cooler, see my thread here: http://www.overclock.net/nvidia/1159043-galaxy-gtx-580-thread-58nlh5hs3pxz.html

I've read about this too but it's odd behaviour (IMO). For example, I run either of my cards individually on OCCT4 and both get ~275 frames. I disable OCP via GPU-z and nothing changes.

When I use SLI and run OCCT4 (allows SLI) the CUII is at 99% while the Lightning is 76% with combined frames ~417 which is obviously less than the combined score of ~550 you'd expect (of course, the 2nd card is only running @ 75%).

Now I should add, if you're going to try this expect an alert for your +5V having dropped at around 2min mark. Mine is usually 5.040 but when I run the SLI check it drops to below 4.960 (my alert threshold, not sure how low it went and not sure if that's actually 'bad').

I don't bother with them. If I want to stress my card I use Crysis Bench or Heaven.
