Include VRM and memory temps as well. Good luck with the OC.

Thanks!

They're idling around 31-33C (6 to 8 degrees over ambient) and maxing out at 47-48C (about 22C over ambient temps) at the lightnings stock clocks.

Will be overclocking and benching them soon! biggrin.gif
Can't wait to see what your max OC is under water. Did they hit 1ghz on air?

Will do when I get back home (working now).

GPUz can show those, right?

Can you believe I never tried?! redface.gif

I once took them to 880 or so and played a bit but all the games I play (which are all the games ever made) are already maxed with good frame rates at the stock 832MHz (since is 2 way SLI) so... no need for the extra performance, noise and heat so I left them at stock.

But now I must at least bench them since they've got so "cool" wink.gif

No only MSI Afterburner. Use the latest 2.2.0 beta and go into the settings, monitoring tab, active hardware monitoring graphs, scroll down to and then check VRM temperature and Memory temperature and they will now show in your graphs.

Thanks, man!

I've done a quick test and it seems that if the GPUs are topping at 47-48C, the memory and VRMs temps of both cards go to 36C max on all (uniform temps across all components).

Seems ok, right?

Anyways, just now I started having a funny issue: some colors flicker red a bit.
It is hard to explain but, for example, if I run 3dMark11, when the benchmark is loading and you can see that image of the submarine with the lights on, the glare effect from the sub's lighting flickers on red... weird and worrying.

What could that be?

Voltages seem normal.
I gamed all the weekend (more than 10 hours total) and yesterday too but that only happened today (first realize the weird red on the strong lights on Mass Effect3).

Any theories?

First guess would be an unstable OC if they aren't at stock speeds. If they are at stock then it could be any of things but I'm not sure what would be most likely. The fact you've seen it in both a game and a benchmark makes it appear systemic but my first guess after the WC instal would be bad contact on either the VRM or VRAM but we can see those temps are great. So unless you think you did a bad job or made a mistake with one of the thermal pads then I would just watch it and try and get more information about the problem.

It isn't OCed.
Looks like it was some kind of EM interference!
I turned the rig off and moved some cables that were touching the gpus away (making sure they did not contact the boards).
One of these was the wattage meter cable that goes to the Zalman fan controler.

Anyways, after I moved the cables away and tried again, it stop flickering smile.gif

Hope it stays that way!

Good to see you got them in there and they work! So did you get to test out OC potential or did you back-off after the flicker problem?
