An ivybridge should allow you to have maximum GPU usage, yes.

i think so yeah - an i5 will be more than enough - i wouldnt bother with hyperthreading unless you need it. I havent done too much research into ivy bridge so i will say go with a 2500k and save some cashola tongue.gif

I've got mine currently sitting at:

Core Clock: 1075MHz
Core Voltage: 1075mV
Memory: 2125MHz
Cooling: H20

Just a FYI, i don't want/need to be added to the list.

thats crazy low voltage for such a clock - nice going! Stable playing all your games?

What card do you have and when you say H20, what cooling do you have on it? Does that actually pass a bench .. sorry, not doubting you but it's just that your core is so high (even when we ignore the volts).

I agree, not saying your lying either but that may be the best clock I have ever seen without extreme cooling. Throw in the voltage and that may just be the best 580 ever. Classified?

Depends on the game, but yes in general it will. My 580 is pegged at 99% in all games that utilize it.

Thats pretty good, looks like you have some headroom as well.

I run 950/1900 and peak around 70 - 72 full load on air, never need to downclock.

I'm thinking about slapping an aftermarket cooler on my reference 580 and bumping up my every day over clock from 930 MHz to ~960 MHz. Is the AC Accelero Xtreme Plus II the best way to go or are there cheaper options with comparable cooling? $80+ is a little excessive, but I may go for it anyway.
