Only using two ATM with P8Z68. All three are going on a Rampage Extreme with an 3930K next week....my current P8Z68 Deluxe/Gen3 would only run 4x for a third card, so didn't put it in. Saved up for something worthy...
Thought they were supposed to just do whatever the lowest clocked card did. Not my Gainwards.
So tonight I thoughtlessly force flashed the newer one to my original bios. Rebooted. No NVIDIA card present. Holy Cow. Don't panic...
Finally twigged that one bios was 70.10.17.00.01 and that newer card was 70.10.48.00.01 and that bios of mine just didn't work for it.
Force flashed it back with settings that matched my two originals....783/2010 rather than 805/2010. They used to have different voltages too.
All good now. Now at least they work together without having to use AB.
Does anyone know what the bios version numbers mean? The 48 seems to indicate some sort of hardware revision....

Is this BIOS setting only for Gainward cards? Or for any GTX580? (mine is ECS and I'm having the problem described above)
