What is usually enough voltage for that speed and can all cards achieve that? Is Lightning XE better overclocker since it has much better components on it's PCB? Are chips hand-picked?
I am currently @940MHz, 1,1V, and it is not stable. Not sure how safe it is to go much beyond that.
Tnx

my Highest OC with this card is 970Mhz @ 1.13v
i can do 980Mhz but temps causes stability issues...um pretty sure with those Bitspower MSI Lightning Blocks these cards will do wonders

Hello guys,
I'm new to overclocking the video cards, so I wonder, what are the most stable or most common OC settings for "gaming only" ? The whole system is under heavy custom water cooling thumb.gif
idle temps are 32'c - 31'c - 32'c
I have TRI-SLI MSI N580GTX-M2D15D5

I have mine set at 950Mhz atm for steady gaming and folding, I was able to reach 960Mhz with out any voltage increases. I believe classy ultras are higher bined cards since they came out of the box at 900. I am sure you can get to 800 easily.

Thank you for advice, I'll try 800Mhz than. Any suggestions on the Memory or it won't make any difference in gaming ?

I am now running 945MHz with 1.131V and it is stable everywhere except in Crysis 2. After some time drivers just crash. I am happy with this OC tho, gives a nice 10% boost over default. And Iwon't go any further. Guess I wasn't lucky with the draw wink.gif

Stock 24/7 (factory) currently at 816 @ .965-1.078

But for fun, max OC 1017-1038 stable (driver dependant) and for extreme OC Ive done the "fly bys" on Unigine at 1063 but id never be able to benchmark it at that speed. Voltages @1.293v 63c max, mostly low 50c and idle can drop to 19c on a cool morning wink.gif
