This isn't the marketplace, so its not the place for a wanted post. I've removed that part of your post.

I'm actually debating on getting rid of my 580 and trying out some sort of SLI setup. Still not entirely sure yet, since my rig is in about a million parts right now due to RMA'ing my board and RAM, and figured I'd clean the whole thing while its apart.

assuming everything you buy comes with fittings, you could do a loop for 300 bucks. which is quite expensive. water really is a money pit, and i would stay away unless you have mad cash to burn. I had cash, so i did water. now i dont have a job, and adding the 580 to my loop required me to wait through christmas and a birthday just to save up gift certificates and stuff to pay for the dang thing. and now my pump is going out, so theres another 100 bucks in the near future... blech.

however, i am running 0.9 ghz on 1.05v @ 44*c max temp i ever reach, which is sweeet lol

Have you tested your 580 Lightnings independently? One of your cards could be a mediocre overclocker thus the 930 core SLI limit.

Also your 850W power supply could be a limit as well, 580s when overclocked & overvolted will draw a lot more power.

Interestingly, I decided to try some OC's at lower voltages and I managed to pass Heaven at 930MHz at only +100mV. Previously I had thought it needed at least +162mV but as Pio said, my cards are more sensitive to temps than voltages. Gonna keep experimenting with lower offsets and see if I can't hit that magical 940MHz...

What's the stock volts on the Lightning?

My TF2's aren't Crysis 2 stable at stock .996v lol but everything else is fine.

ok guys ive got a joice between a dcII and a 3g phantom for the same price, I dont game in higher then 1080p and my main priority is which one will oc better and can I water cool either of them? I know lightning would be better but thats the 2 I have to choose from (getting brand new one for 400$)

How does temps affect the stabilty of the OC? Does it become unstable at certain temps or?

I am probably biased, but i'd say DCII. If you dont mind the size (takes 3 slots), it will give you better temps and the noise level is very low. I dont think you will make much use of 3 gigs of memory on Gainward card anyway.

DcuII is a proven overclocker, haven't looked at the phantom close to see if it is even reference or non-ref, dcuII is non-ref & would need a universal block for water.
