First of all I would like to welcome you to the club veblen!
Very nice overclock and great scores

Alright my peeps I have very good news

A good friend of mine is going to lend me his laptop which I will need for when college starts again in September but with it I will be able to fully engage our thread again

Meaning all newcomers will receive their official invite and entry to our club!
All modifications and announced changes will take place as soon as both the graphics poll and 580 OC idea poll is finished.

BUT

I have checked it and it looks like there are over 30 pages full of people wanting to become new members of our great club

So in order for me to add this mass of people I dramatically need you to post your results in exactly this order:

[pioneerisload][GTX 580 ref][900/2133@1.15V][ID=49/CLD=73C]
**3DMark11: P7438**
***3DMark Vantage: P29118***
****Heaven Benchmark:37.7FPS/950****

http://www.overclock.net/14076582-post205.html

Everbody that has already posted their results please make sure that they look just like the example above and if they don´t please try to edit

Soooo.... I will be back tomorrow and we can start the show again!!
Edit: Don´t forget to vote in our graphics poll, I wanna get a results early and be able to start working at our club right away

Very nice!

examplary presentation and very nice scores

The only thing that might be missinterpreted is the link always at the end of a result entry.
That link is supposed to be the permalink of the post as proof^^
www.overclock.net is also good cause somewhere in that link your entry will be but maybe you can use the permalink

Thx for being a perfect example of how a result post should look like though

Edit:Have you already tried overclocking just one of your Lightnings in order to determine their individual overclockability?

Good luck!

Just flashed my BIOS to allow up to 1.2v and so far, it's been frustrating. Seems my card refuses to scale with more voltage, grrr...

Very very nice

It´s looking like we got a lot of new 1GHZ VIP members

But I didn´t expect anything else from a Matrix 580

You can´t forget that your card is running the stock cooler.
1.2V and 1GHZ can develop extreme heat levels on air especially on the stock heatsink.

The imense heat development could indicate scaling problems.
I too have experienced that the hotter the card gets the worse it will scale ....that is generally the case with most gpus.

Did you check your temps?

990MHZ on a ref 580 is absolutely amazing^^
At some point you gotta be more careful and settle a little if you wanna keep your 580 for a longer period
But you got a ref card anyway which means full waterblock please?
A guy on ebay sells them very cheap, I will look it up for you

Thanks but I'm already under water.

Might have to take the card out of the X58 machine and use the P67 machine instead for HWBot.

Aaah...sry did not know you already were on water
55C Load is great so the problem isn´t there.

The scaling problem could imply chip throttling because the applied overclock is just to high and undhandable.

Did you aside from the bad scaling also experience a performance drop after the rise of your clocks?

Funny you should mention it, but yes.

I tried shooting for 1010MHz but my Vantage score dropped 6K points, and my Heaven score was 400 points lower than 985MHz.

Did I mod my BIOS incorrectly? I used NibiTor to edit the max voltage limit from the stock EVGA GTX 580 bios I got from GPU-Z, and flashed that modded BIOS.

On a separate but somewhat related note, I just noticed we not only have the same board but the same CPU block!

Here's a shot from my cell phone camera using FxCamera's Toy Cam as I was waiting for my benchmarks to finish:
