That stuff is Awesome!!! Might be worth the extra effort. Don't worry 550 will work, its just a little bit harder for me to work with. You may not have any issue. Just remember that we are not using it for its designed purpose. It is tricky to get it over the wires. It tries to snag on the sharp metal pins. That cord will be very unique and I think will look amazing!

Thanks, I am going to put some pictures here. I am planning to re-build my transportable machine so that I can use it at home and office. Green will be the colour scheme and I am just wating for a good AMD mATX or ITX mobo to be released.

Thats a sweet paracord design.

The price for heatshrink from Allied Electric is showing up as $.64/ft, I assume $.14/ft was a pricing mistake. FTW PC now offers 3/16" 3:1 for that price. How did 1/4" heatshrink work with 450 paracord? When we were testing sizes we found 3/16" to be a little easier since it was slightly larger but would still shrink enough.

I stand corrected its 16 cents per foot. Notice that the section for 64 cents is 4 feet long!

Now, I'm not comparing quality b/c I have never worked with FTW product but, IMO, the stuff I got from these guys (1/4 shrink) is pretty good.

In my experience 1/4 inch shrink is perfect for Paracord Sleeving. I had no issue getting 1/4 to line up nicely. And for .16 cents per foot, its a no brainer!
