Overclocked RAM w/Intel Extreme Tuning Utility

Thread Starter
Well I just overclocked my 12 GB Corsair Vengeance 1600 from 9-9-9-24 1.5v to 8-8-8-24 1.5v 1T successfully.

I noticed a few different settings that I was not familiar with and was curious if anyone knew what they are and what they do for my memory? In correct order.

tCL - 8
tRCD - 8
tRP - 8
tRAS - 24

Those I know to be my timing. The ones I'm not sure about are....

tRRD - 6
tWR - 12
tRTP - 6
tFAW - 30

Anyone have any clues? And if you do know are they set correctly from my default preset settings?

Thanks for any input....as underneath my avatar says 'Overclocker in Training'. smile.gif

You rarely need to adjust any other timings than the first 4 in bold, and sometimes you can loosen tRFC to help with stability. BTW, don't use that Intel Extreme Tuning Utility lol, you have a bios. Use the bios. Then it makes it quick to boot to memtest86+ to check for stability and you don't have to fuss around with software.
