ok well back to 1.5v and c8 timings than
also is there anyone here running a phenom II with vengeance ram @ 1866 c9.
cant seem to get mine running that speed, not even with 11-11-11 and 1.65v frown.gif

Don't go back to 1.5v , you can go to 1.55v and see what timings are stable at that voltage. I am running my memory @ 1600 9 9 9 27 36 1T 1.5v , but i only have 1600mhz vengeance.
The Phenom II likes tight timings, try 1600 and the best timings you can find. Also your nb frequency is 2000 for best results try 2400-2600.

and so i did, 1600 8-8-8-22-32-1T @ 1.55 nb and ht link at 2400.
have yet to try 2600/2800, enough rebooting for today

btw i know tight timings are better on amd but i do want to know if its possible to have 1866 c9 with phenom 2.
maybe the ram is faulty
