5GHz with HT enabled will be at 1.20v perhaps??

Except it was running at 1.68v to boot into Windows. Only time HT has been active on this chip was right after I installed it into my previous P67 "FTW(L)" board and again when I put it in this board so I have no idea what it would take to run it like that. I bought this chip before the 2700K were released (in fact I don't think it had even been announced yet) so my idea was that hopefully I had a better chance at getting a higher OC with the 2600K vs the 2500K. I have never had a use for HT myself.

My 24/7 OC is 5Ghz at 1.52v but I have speedstep and am using offset voltage so it's not always sucking down 1.52v.

I also OC by all cores since I do not need a permanent hich clock.I tried OC beyond 4.5GHz and posted settings per succesful attempt.Yes I really shouldn't have left max Vcore at Auto but this is something I wiil try another time cause I really need some better cooling solution - my humble H50 (dual fan push/pull) has reached its limits. At 1.4V (@4.7GHz full load) I had almost 90C max CPU temp, which of course isn't what I was aiming for.
Wow you really do need to upgrade your cooling TR-909 smile.gif that temp is not healthy but is it temp at daily usage like gaming? or load on CPU stressing??

Hmm quite the same our procie, mine at 5GHz only just passed hyperpi32M with 1.46v and for stable I think it needs close to 1.50v smile.gif
Sadly I can't break through multi 55 mad.gif my last multi that can enter windows fine and test with superpi32M is 54 HT on.

Already try to 1.65v still no go with 100x55 ... perhaps 1.68v will do biggrin.gif Iater I test it... anyway thx for sharing Zboe thumb.gif
+rep for you wink.gif

funny thing is my 2500K @ 4.5GHz @ 1.296v runs better than my 3570K @ 4.4GHz @ 1.302v....
it seems most of these guys around here got these golden 3570K chips but not me...
it's cool though, my 2500K rocks, both of them..

sure is bro, like rolling the dice.....
a person can walk into Microcenter and they will let you test out a few chips before you buy from what I have heard.
I wish I had that option when I bought mine... oh well, as long as it's running 'correctly' I'm good and temps are good.
hang in there IMC.. tongue.gif

thanks. thumb.gif
