No man, AMD is nowhere near Intel for gaming. Even a Yorkfield 775 is faster than AMD Phenom II in gaming. Just imagine how much faster a Sandy is VS a Yorkfield. Then imagine how far AMD is left behind.

There is no comparison.

Ok! - Well I think I'll be running off this AMD Based Build, and swapping it for a E8500 (Sadly not a 2500k) But hey, at least I still know after overclocking this X2 550 BE @ 4Ghz, The E8500 Would smash it into pieces @ 3.7Ghz and maybe even less.

So, hopefully In time I'll grab a 2500k if i ever get a job.....

Yeah, I think a Conroe 775 Beats my PH II - But I cant tell, because I was only able to get It to 3.1Ghz due to a 650i Ultra motherboard. It was a E6750 (Ashamed I let that thing go, but the Idiot I am I had saw that AMD was better.....) But hey, I'm getting an E8500, And Going to get that thing to 4.2Ghz + On an Asus PQ5 Pro.

You only have a HD4870. Should do fine with your X2 Phenom II until you upgrade to Sandy later on. I don't think you will get that much improvement going E8500. If you're not getting it for free though...

Do not stress it.

Just get a Q6600 you can find them used for around 100 shipped. No sense in spending more money on inferior tech. And you can get a 45nm quad for pretty cheap also.
