Atm im running it stock cause i only use my pc for music and net surfing so ocing wont benefit
Nice mine would run 4.3ghz at stock voltage but its taking .4 volts per .1ghz or so now. Im doing a stress test with it at 4.9ghz and 1.42 vcore and its peaking 70 degrees or so after 4 hours of prime 95 small FFT.

do you mean .04v more?
i can hit 4.8ghz @ 1.425v only stable for benching. both voltage hungry and a heat monster.

Well, max i've achieved 4.8GHz with 1.37V - stable in prime for two hours testing. But i use it on 4.2Ghz for 24/7 on stock voltage.

Yeah meant .04 tongue.gif Also sounds like you got a pretty bad chip.

Yeah thats about what mine is stable at for 4.8ghz. maybe 1.38. Was running that for 3 months or so before I decided to bump it up again. Planning a new desk build for either this summer or next summer that Im getting all brand new parts for.

not a bad chip. i can run 5ghz stable @ 1.504v and can boot into windows at 5.2ghz. it just likes voltage.
4.5ghz @ 1.336v under load. never goes over 54*C playing any game and runs p95 @57*C
4.7ghz 'only' needs 1.4v, yeah only...

Well, i was thinking to upgrade, but really i don't need it. I only change my old 7950 with a r9 290. In CPU department i will upgrade only if my mobo or 2500k break and may be when skylake appears it will worth upgrading. I would change my case if i have enough time, but it is not necessary.

my 2500k is such a turd, 4.3ghz requires 1.36v and 13h prime95 max temp 75 degrees axesmiley.png can't get 4.5/4.4 stable at any decent voltage mad.gif
post #1648 of 2003
Awfull... On stock voltage - 1.27, mine works on 4.2GHz.

I tried to get it to 4.7 and the strange this is that I need 1.296 for 4.5
1.35 for 4.6 and 1.362 for 4.7
How can this happen?
Is my chip trolling me?
PLL is ON
