I think I got a really bad chip. It needs 1.35V for 4.5 and at 4.6 I couldn't even get it stable at 1.4V

I have not dared to change anything in the bios yet, I do not want to sett settings that can damage the computer.
So I ask you pros to look at my settings if it looks good?

Cpu = I5 2500k
Motherboard = P8p67
Memory = Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600MHz, 2x4GB, LP
Cpu cooler = Noctua NH-D14

Many thanks in advance from a paranoid old man for tips and info, etc.

It's a possibility.
2 days ago i had a brand new 2500k that could do 4500mhz at 1.32, sadly i killed it and the one i have now can only do 4100mhz at 1.3, anything over gives errors no matter what voltage ect i change, i'm totally bummed, lost 400mhz overclock in a heart beat!

Out of curiosity, how did you manage to "kill" it?
Edit: I just found your post on that.
It would be nice to see your system specs for the 2500K setup, as all I currently see is an AMD build.
Questions arise for your 2500K issues, such as what motherboard, memory, power supply, etc. you are using.

everythings getting better now, i changed my ram to different slots as the shop had put them in a1/b1, i put them in 12/b2 and now have a 4.4ghz oc at 1.32 with no errors, will try again soon and i'll be staying away from the cpu offset voltage.
I'll change my specs now

What a difference.
4.7@1.4V. is a good overclock. You must have a decent cpu cooler, as your temps. running P95 are quite good. I hit about the same, also at 1.4v.
