Since your pic is chopped down and doesn't expand to get a better view I am going by what I think I see on your cpu-z. It looks like its showing 100.1 x 34 which is standard clock for no turbo mode. I just don't understand why your 3dmark link shows really messed up numbers? almost like your turbo mode was a "down shift" instead of jumping your multi it decreased it by 4. I really cant say what happened to your graphics score. it could also be that 3dmark just messed itself up. I have had that happen a few times when using beta drivers and such.

When I get a chance I will do some more testing on it. Starting with some better baseline pulls. .

Thank you guys for all the help.

Btw I will be rebuilding my i2600k/ SLI 570 soon.

What is a good link to OCing RAM?

Thanks again redface.gif

I am by no means a master at overclocking, but I do know when overclocking it is much easier to oc 2 sticks of ram with a heavy oc and get them stable as compared to 4 sticks. That goes 4 fold when trying to OC with 8 sticks. tongue.gif

as for information on what numbers you will be looking to adjust and what to watch out for read through this thread a few times and as much as it will all seem like a different language at first... you will eventually start to really get the gist once you get digging in to your bios.

If you run in to issues, while I'm new to this forum I have found just about everyone is extremely helpful and seem to be happy to offer some pointers provided the proper information is given so they can assist you.

step 1 though is always grabbing plenty of hardware monitoring tools like real temp, cpu-z, gpu-z Tmonitor, or do what I prefer and just grab some desktop widgets that monitor your system and core temp. thumb.gif

Hello everyone. I think i have a problem with mine I5 2500k. frown.gif Since this is my first intel i really dont know if this is ok or not. So my problem is that my 2500k runs at 37- 40 Watts while i have open only Steam/orgin/ESET and some driver/update utilities. So shouldnt be running on much less watts ? Here is picture:

So far programs and games are running smooth without crashes, and i also checked the PC with ESET smart security but there wasnt any infiltrations.

Please can anyone help me with this ?

Your answers and solutions are very welcome.
Thanks much for your time.

Well, I run an i5 2550k 24/7 @ 4.9Ghz and while in idle state it shows 35 to 37.5w also so I think your fine. thumb.gif

Why you are worried about watts used by opening some programs?

Well i really don't know... To be honest i was really thinking it should run less on watts in non-stress state smile.gif

I'm just happy when I put everything together if it powers up. tongue.gif
