Wii black and white

Thread Starter
Hi, my friend brought his wii from Australia to the US since he is moving here. When he plugged into his new tv that he brought here is only show black and white but no flicking. So I was wondering is it the cable problem since he is only using the standard one, just the red, white, and yellow, or is it because of the PAL and NTSC problem. But if is the PAL and NTSC problem, is should flick. Would buying the cable with the extra two wires help?? What would be the cheapest way to fix it without mod chip/hacking??
Thanks

Id be willing that you have a composite (yellow) plug plugged into a component socket (Red Blue or Green {cant remember which}) plug yellow to yellow and see a pretty color picture.
Or buy the composite adapter with two "extra" wires

Aus uses PAL, while US uses NTCS. SO its a signal issue. A softmod or modchip and some homebrew apps might take care of that.
Not sure if converteres exist other than pc tv tuner type.
