£700 First ever build!

Thread Starter
Build is now complete, i done it all in my own, no hiccups whatsoever, very proud of myself. Runs good, solid room temp when not gaming and just general computing. My camera broke so no pics of the actual build, however the finished product will be photographed soon. PS. The cpu heatsink/fan is massive and the heatsink is pointed in the wrong direction, which is annoying but thats how its meant to be built, so nothing i can do!

I have that PSU in my spare pc, its not great, I would dig deeper and invest in a corsair, I have 2 OCZ PSUs and I regret getting both.

The 500w is the worst tho, the sleaving on the cables is the worst I have ever seen, its practically translucent, and the pci-e cables are very short.

What this dude said, but also watch out as you are getting OEM's, you may be of short supply with sata cables, if you don't get any with your motherboard that is. So a quick nip to a pc store may be needed.

Ill have to look out for that then, but if its working well thats all i ask for, so we will need to wait and see!

Nope i do not, not immediately anyway, this Rig is mainly for gaming and untill basically all games utilize the 8 cores provided by the BD i will not upgrade mainly because of money reasons!

Cant afford it, and if i could there would be no real advantage because im planning on locking 2 core of my X6 for gaming anyway!
