Are my Sennheiser CX 400-II Precision fake? [56k Warning]

Okay, so for £22 I got a pair of Sennheiser CX 400-II Precision earphones. I haven't seen anything on the web about a fake version of these headphones, but I'm still wondering if there's anything I should check for to see if they are fake. I've looked at this thread here:
http://portal.fakeheadphones.com/ind...sa=item;in=585
And even though these are a different model, I appear to have the genuine characteristics.
Here are the pics:

There are TONS of fake CX400s online lol.

I had a pair from an Amazon reseller. Managed to get a refund though.

Here is a guide for telling the difference http://fakeheadphones.com/pictures/s...ke-vs-genuine/

Its for the CX300 but virtually the same headphones.

My fake ones had terrible sound quality, like really bad. The "leather" pouch smelt very strongly of cheap plastics and solvents. The headphone cables were very flimsy and "sticky" feeling, not as smooth as the genuine ones.

From looking at your pics, they seem genuine to me, but best check with the the guide posted above

That's the guide I followed and everything seems to check out. Plus they sound better than my Razer Charcharias headphones, especially the bass. I whipped on some Infected Mushroom and my mind was absolutely raped . The only reason I wanted to be 100% sure was because I got them from a brand new reseller and I like to help out people just starting out.

Yeah if they sound good, they are fine.

Trust me, you would notice if they sounded pants! I have the CX300 which do me fine, although I'm missing the volume control. Sound quality of these headphones is awesome.

Matt Scarlett Editor of www.fakeheadphones.com here. These have to be one of the worst counterfeit CX400 earphones I've ever seen.

The pouch is a give away and its an absolute disgrace!

Here's a link to al the pouch pictures you'll ever need. But now I'm going to put a link to this forum thread.

Thanks, I've checked that website before . They were indeed fake. The logo came off from one of the earphones, then the right one stopped working and the volume control button broke. I got my money back from Amazon and ordered a Sennheiser HD 218 from MyMemory
