Surge protector making buzzing noise

Thread Starter
Well recently our surge protector has started to make a buzzing noise.

First off I know it is coming from the surge protector and a quick note when I leave the surge protector unplugged for awhile and plug it back in the buzzing noise goes away for a bit and returns around 25-35 minutes later.

Another note when the surge protector is buzzing and I run any other electrical devices on power grid the buzzing noise becomes less loud.

I am wondering what is that buzzing noise and is it something I should worry about? (Common sense says yes, but I thought I would get a second opinion before I go out and spend $20-$40 on a new one).

Thanks in advance.

If you give a damn about your PC or don't have insurance that will replace it. Buy a half decent battery back up.. ESPECIALLY if your about to blow 40 on a surge protector.

You can get a decent UPS for 50-100.

Brownouts suck. xD
