(Fixed)- Can't get monitor to acknowledge comp - Page 6

He already RMA his board. I remember this happened to me before a few times, I know it sucks dude. But what i did was pressing the bios reset button at the back worked, removing battery from board worked. Also had one stick of ram in the last/first slot. Just make sure the board isn't shorting out. If there's a pc store near you. I'd grab a dvi cable and test that. You never know maybe you hdmi cable is the problem.

I'm not sure what it's called, but they are going to replace my mobo with a brand new one this time instead of a repair rma. They are even sending me a postmarked label so I don't have to pay to ship it to them.

Nice, hopefully you'll get it sorted this time.

Does the post office carry non-priority boxes? And if so, do they sell them or give them?

You have to pay for the non-priority boxes, at least at my post office. The priority ones are free at usps.

As for the issues, I've read the whole thread as asked and I highly suspect it to be a driver issue. Try going to device manager and uninstall and reinstall all the drivers for your graphics, Ethernet, sound, and disk drives. If that and the new mobo doesn't fix anything, you will have to reinstall windows. I will help you do a complete reinstall and create a system image and anything else you want.

Can't do any of that until i've sent off my mobo and gotten replacement. And does an image save programs too? Because I have hundreds of them installed and don't want to lose anything.

You will have to reinstall them too sadly. When I said create a system image I'm talking about after the os install.

If you image the entire drive you shouldn't have to reinstall anything, if that's what you are talking about..

Also atikmdag.sys is part of AMD gpu drivers, so that was causing one of your BSOD.

Pretty sure you need to do a clean windows install though once you get back your mobo, transfering OS from different systems rarely works out. (even though it should be ok with a switch of the same model of MB)

Mobo was issue. Is now working perfectly. Once I move, i'll check on the bsod issues.
