I'll have my 160GB Intel G2 I got for $190 until then.

The people paranoid about SSDs will be equally paranoid about this PCM technology. The slightest sign of trouble from any manufacturer will brand the rest of them unreliable to them.

I really can't wait though.

This more in depth than Engadget's explanation. Past research showed phase change memory was not very durable. It will be interesting to see if IBM finally solved that problem.

Demand of this "NEW MEMORY" will drive the prices higher than SSD, reguardless of the fact that it's cheaper to produce... That's just the way the economy works... we all get punked in the end.
