So yeah copper on chokes is a good idea, no? Will it do anything?

I love the board.

I use ASRock for some time, and the history of my last AMD AM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+ board goes like this:

Abit AX78
ASRock 770CrossFire
ASRock A780GXH/128M (for the ACC feature, first non SB750 ACC board, with SB710)
ASRock 890GX Extreme3 (first ASRock Extreme board for AMD)
MSI 890FXA-GD70 (great board, but CnQ does not work when overclocked, and had to RMA it, the first one burnd down like a huricane)
ASRock 990FX Fatal1ty Professional (first ASRock AMD Fatal1ty board)

Of all those boards in last few years, i liked the AX78 and the 890GX Extreme3 the most.
Now You can get a new BIOS for the ABIT MBO direct from ABIT support with hybrid ACC support for unlocking (SB600), and the same thing works for ASRock 770CrossFire MBO (SB700).

If You realy have the money, get the Fatal1ty board. Its great design, real cool looking,
great OC and works well.

Hey all, Since I was running out of time on my 30 day return on other components, I decided to check them before returning this mobo & sure glad I did! I'm NOT experiencing anywhere near the heat problems that other person is with my 1090t running stock speeds! In fact, I can barely detect heat holding my finger there for a good minute. I'm still trying to get all my software up to speed so I can live again & haven't had a lot of time experimenting. So far, I am very, very happy!

I hope I didn't scare off other 1090t owners from this board. So far at stock speeds, no problemo.

I'd trust an ASrock 5 phase over an MSI 5 phase, most of the time.

Keep in mind however, that a lot of people who overclock the hexa-cores use those big 120mm tower coolers, which usually don't have very good airflow over the VRMs.
Your sig says stock cooling, which is probably why you are not experiencing problems
If you are still worried about temps, try undervolting.

IMO It will be in typical AMD fashion. 80% performance of an intel chip for 65% of the price.

Hi guys, I have just purchased a nice 990fx extreme4 and thought joining you would be a good idea.

Username: mechtiger
Motherboard: asrock 900fx extreme4
CPU: PII 550BE

Now in saying that I seem to have some teething issues I hope someone may be able to help me with. I am finding the uefi bios take ages to do anything in and I have no mouse support at all.

cheers.
