I don't think so. I had to bend the fins on the heatsink of the chipset to fit my titanium in. I can't see the HD fitting on my board in the X1 slot.

Of course, with the Fatal1ty board there's no issue tongue.gif

Have you seen anyone with sound card in PCI(white) slot between the first 2 pci16x(blue) that top pcie spot is almost useless. Too close to chipset heatsink

Definitely not a poor man's rig if it's sporting that motherboard.

I was still using a low-end Asus AM2+ motherboard and a 4GB Kingston low profile memory when I named that. Will change the name later or some other time.

Well it is up and running Win7 64bit, and has not had a hiccup yet. No crashes, no BSOD Granted I have alot of progs to install and many tests still need to be done, but so far it looks like a winner I just got my case painted, so will install inside box soon and post a couple pics. I'm so happy. UPS beat the crap out of the shipping box, and a few connecter pins were bent :/ but I bent them straight again, should be fine (2x fan connectors, and one pin on the HD-audio connector).

Thank you linkin93 I am really pumped. It unlocked my x3 720, seems good so far. But still needs long-tests to confirm stability. Either way I think I will be very happy with his rig.

I have been considering upgrading my 890GX to a 990FX for awhile and though I am an Asus fan; ASRock has recently caught my attention with its 990FX Fatal1ty Pro.

Now I see they are about to launch a 990FX Extreme3; which in my opinion is one of the most beautiful 990FX Motherboards out there yet.

The only other that is all BLACK like the EX3, would be the Gigabyte UD3.

So I am curious, logic would reason that the EX3 is a step down from the EX4? Why would they make a board that looks so much more beautiful then the EX4 be a step down from that? If this is the case, then I am going to bet that the EX3 is likely going to be the cheapest 990FX Board on the market when it hits Newegg? As the UD3 and the EX4 are already priced about the same...

Or is the EX3 supposed to be a better model then the EX4?

Can anyone tell me what , if any, differences there are between the EX3 and the EX4; and more so, how they compare with the Fatal1ty?
