I think I'll take the second option biggrin.gif

I will post to my friend on PCTreiber forum. wink.gif

Maybe they can provide me more BETA BIOS-es,
but I haven't see anybody there to use the Fatal1ty 990FX.

I'm thinking about switching to a sli/xfire asrock motherboard. I hate the gigabyte blue color scheme and the standard bios. Plus i'd like to xfire my card in the future whilst my motherboard doesn't support it. Would I need to completely reinstall everything on my system for switching mobo's?

No. I changed from my 890GX board to the 990FX one without even uninstalling any drivers. Video, sound, LAN and USB drivers had to be reinstalled though.

In Australia, we have a special name for Gigabyte boards. Byte rhymes with "shight" so yeah you get the picture.

Definitely ditch the gigabyte board.

And the gold is sexy too.

Where I come from, we say ASSRock kicks some Gigabut! biggrin.gif

Quite honestly, if I would have known that BD to be such a "downer" - I would not have bought my 990 Pro...or any 9xx board. Maybe the next stepping will improve things but I could have contently held my load until FM2.

That being said, I have NO regrets with my 990 Pro. It is a superb board to OC AM3 procs with whistle.gif

I noticed that your 120mm fan is blowing into your case. Does that work out better for your airflow?

{EDIT} I just noticed your sig: they're your intake fans. Interesting set-up. Do you have the flow of air reversed?

No, intake fans work best on radiators. Cool air coming in beats hot air going out, temperature wise. The rest of my fans are normal. Front intake, top exhaust, etc. I've been thinking about getting a block of thick foam and using it to mount the rad and fans in the front drive bays.
Ah I see. Will the tubing reach if you mounted it up front?

Yeah, it should. Tried fitting it in there once, didn't work so well with at all moving around. Hence the block of foam I mentioned.
