MSI GTX 560 TI TwinFrozr II/OC need help overclocking it - Page 2

Edited the Core Clock from 950MHz to 975MHz on 1050mV.
Brings the Shader to 1950MHz and the Memory still on 2100MHz.
Stable under Kombustor. Oddly enough, some scores were higher than the 1GHz OC.
Others were lower than the 950MHz OC..

Where are you hitting a wall?
(I'm going to test in Metro now, so I could be gone for about 15 mins.)

15 mins of Metro 2033 and the 975MHz on the Core gives up.
I'll try increasing the voltage later.
For now I'm fine with the 950MHz stable @ 1050mV.

Also; I'll be in Austria for a week starting tomorrow.
Some school trip, I hope I can help you after.

I've got mine at 940 @ 1.075V and 2060 memory...
I need to go further, but it's a hot summer so I might just leave it there

Last post from me in about a week, going to Austria in an hour.
Anyway; I got it up to 975MHz on the Core. Seems stable at a voltage of 1075mV
1050mV wasn't stable, so I cranked it up to 1075, maybe I can lower it.
I'll try a higher clock later.

Hey everyone, this is my first time overclocking a video card. I don't own any recent games yet (I've always been a console gamer, but planning to get into some PC games), so what else is a good way to check for stability? When it's unstable, am I supposed to see artifacts on the screen or BSOD??
I tried changing core voltage to 1037mV and core clock to 950. I ran Kombustor for 20 minutes and Furmark for 20 minutes and the temps never went above 65C. Then as a test, I kept the same voltage and increased the core clock to 1000 and the memory clock to 2250 and the same tests ran fine again (getting closer to 70C). Based on the posts here, I feel like I'm doing something wrong and I shouldn't be stable at such a low voltage.

Do some extra mhz make any difference in games?
hi,

i have msi gtx 560 twin frozr II 2gb...

here are my default settings of the card in afterburner ,....

core voltage 987 mV
core clock 880 Mhz
memory clock 2004 Mhz

i tried the overclock for the first time because i couldn't run NBA 2k15 and i did this.

core voltage 1050 mV
core clock 990 Mhz
memory clock 2254 Mhz

i get around 65 C temp in the game, and it seems stable,

is this not dangerous for my graphics card?? is it well balanced??

65 is more than ok for your card! GPU's can reach up to 90 and 100, not that it's ok, but they can.

Normally they stay in the range of 35-50 in idle... and 50+ when gaming etc but can reach as I said more than that. Even 70 sounds normal to me, as long as its not for 12 hours a day, 7 days a week!
