Artisan Shiden-kai + Zowie spawn p-tf + steelseries qck review - Page 3

You can also get the shiden in white. I think I may bite on this, thanks for the review and pics HaiYaa. I'm actually impressed that their logo isn't hideous like the *cough* puretrak pads *cough. Got a very clean look, but I'm not a fan of the pinkish color but get on with your bad-self girlfriend! wink.gif

You can't fold up this pad right?

According to the small box this came in, you can't fold it or bend it but you should be able to roll it with the clothside up

The white one is the shiden and the "pink" one is the shiden-kai which should be slighty faster in glide

Do you still use the Shiden-Kai and how is the glass coating holding up? Any wear on it?

Yeah I still use and though I can see where I had my hands it still perform exactly the same

The only con so far would be that there is some build up on the mousefeet sometimes probally from sweat? So I need to clean the mousefeet once every 2-3days or it wont glide as new

How soft is this mousepad compared to the QCK? The "special" foam they use is simply closed cell foam, which is traditionally more durable at the expense of being more firm.

I'm pretty interested in buying this, please let me know dude!

The MID version I got feels just as soft to press down as the qck and I would imagine the xsoft would feel even softer

I got the hien VE, and it is much more textured than I thought, with a lot more feedback than my previous cloth pad. However, it gives alot more control, and has a pretty good build quality.

Did you get the M or L version? That looks awfully small in the pics and doesn't look 16x13 inches.

I got the medium version, but as the qck fnatic version is 15.7 x 17.7 then it makes the shiden look even smaller biggrin.gif

Looks like an awesome pad - definitely considering getting it. I've really wanted a pad with less friction than the Talent/QCK for a while. 2 quick questions:

Does it feel like there's any resistance when immediately changing directions, like switching to moving right while moving left? Does it feel like it grabs onto the mouse?

Any idea how this would track with the Philips Twin-Eye sensor on more expensive laser mice? That sensor has serious issues tracking on cloth pads, and I'm not sure what to think about its performance on a "hybrid" pad.
