The biggest problem is when your done playing make sure you Backup your save file because there can be a risk of deletion. I played for an hour when I first got Batman and bam my save was gone. I had to start over. I now save after every game.

Where can I find my save file? I don't know where to look.

I guess you killed the 62 fps limit? I've heard that doesn't help with the random fps drops, but if you're having luck with it, maybe I'll try.

Heres another DX9 video - Flying smooth and upto 140fps

Yes i unlocked the FPS and no issues for me. Occassionally when flying a long distance i get a random fps dip (slight jerking) but only once in awhile. The rest of the time its fine.

Here it is in DX11 (It's not too bad but framerate is much much lower and it is choppy - feels sluggish to play):

I was really enjoying the game but right now for me its near impossible to make it past the Joker fight with this issue. Not to mention extremely annoying.

I had this issue also - its a physx problem. Turn off physx for the fight and all will be back to normal, then turn it back on after the fight.

Annoying fight actually, it took me 4 attempts to finish :\ I need to improve my button mashing skills on my xbox controller smile.gif

So unlocking the framerate definitely got rid of many of the drops in DX 9, but now I have this constant micro-hitching thing going on. Both when just moving and when panning with the mouse, I get a horrible, constant hitch. This might be due to v-sync, so I;ll have to check it out.

Strange as you have the same CPU and GPU as me. What Nvidia drivers are you using? I found the new BETA drivers to cause problems in many of my games. Not sure about batman though. I could always send you my config files sometime if it helps

Oddly enough, I killed vsync and forced it + triple buffering via NVCP and the hitching is gone. I'm going to switch back to in-game vsync and see if it was just a one-time thing. I'm using WHQL 285.62. The only things I change in DefaultEngine.ini were:

[Engine.GameEngine]
bSmoothFrameRate=TRUE
MinSmoothedFrameRate=0
MaxSmoothedFrameRate=999
MaxDeltaTime=0.0416666

(BTW, using FXAA on high with physX and DX 11 options off and detail on Extreme. All other options turned on.)

Well, I switched back to vsync in-game and the issue disappeared. Again, still an instantaneous fps drop here and there but not nearly as often as before. Anyone trying to get by with DX 9 should definitely unlock that frame-cap. I guess I'm good to go until a patch comes out for DX 11! Thanks for your advice, Daryl! REP
