XBMC Standalone Software Raid Problems

As the title states, I'm having some trouble with my xbmc standalone install.

I'm converting my server to an htpc by installing xbmc standalone and running the few services I need in the background. I'm quite comfortable with linux but I'm having some issues getting it to install and boot from a software RAID 1 array.

whenever I boot (from either disk) I'm shown the xbmc splash loading screen as if it was booting, but am then given an alert telling me that the uuid it is trying to boot from (the raid array) does not exist.

I used the built-in installer to install and boot from the raid, so why wouldn't it add the correct modules to the initramfs (what I think the issue is)?

current attempts have each disk paritioned into 2 partitions, 1 and 5, and the 2 pairs in raid1 arrays, the first being / and the second being swap.

I managed to get it working by installing to a single drive and then cloning the system over to a crippled raid1 and rebuilding back to a complete array.

for those interested in the solution, I followed this guide (xbmc standalone is ubuntu based)

Glad you got it fixed.
