One thing to try out...
I've personally had this issue, and I have YET to figure out what it is. I made a thread, got no responses.
When you do format, do NOT install any of your motherboard drivers. None of them. Well...unless you absolutely NEED a LAN driver (I don't recall if Windows supplied one or not). It will keep the USB3 from working (install if needed), and I think the LAN would obviously be needed. Otherwise, everything will work fine, even in RAID or AHCI mode.
I had a very odd problem, with both of my 1155 boards....that I'd have a random lock up every few seconds. And it was just for a split second, and everything was fine. But it bugged the snot out of me.
After days and days of screwing with it, I formatted and did NOT install any drivers for the boards. And all of a sudden, my rig worked with no odd stutter!!
Just something to keep in mind for when you do format.
Just in case it happens to you.
