Any way i can use my SATA laptop CD Drive in my desktop? the SATA data cable fits in but it looks like the SATA power thing is much smaller on the laptop drive

Well, you can use something called a cd "enclosure". Basically you take the cd drive out of your laptop, put it in an enclosure, then plug the usb cable from the enclosure to the desktop. I believe this is what you're looking for

if not, then a product of similar caliber. I can't imagine using a laptop cd drive in a desktop without some sort of converter thingy.
