Good Luck,

Yes do I need to connect just a relay or both the relay and the standby wires (black and violet) ?

Guys I have been looking at this product for a couple of months. Doing my research and I am more confuse then I was when I started.

Wanting to run/control 13 fans
2 D5 655 pumps
flow meter for my T10 case, was thinking I could run it all off the xt, but now thinking I need to add a pa to the basket Thoughts

What items would I need to buy. Looking to buy right away.

ooooh I have been there, was confused as hell.. doh.gif

well I had a loooooong talk with Phatboy69 and Shoggy about this, I am running 18 fans Gelid Wing 12 0.22A each, 4x 655, after doing some math crunching, the minimum required or within safe limits of not burning the XT out, the XT unit itself and 4x PA was suggested.... another option thus cheaper would have been a XT plus a XT light but that is just ugly and I don't like ugly... since each PA bay unit holds 3 PA's, I got 2 of those bad boys and sticking 6 PA's in there, call it future proofing in case I want to add more fans or another 360 in there..

I ordered
Aquaero XT + black aluminum cover
PA bay unit x2 + PA bay black aluminum cover x2
PA2 Ultras x6
Aquaero waterblock for XT

I also ordered 2x inline temp sensors and 2x flow sensors to throw in the mix..

Was not planning (and I am sorry) to say this, but this product is mostly a waste of money. Don't buy it.

I had nothing but issues with it, hardly any feature works. Worst of all, I can't update the firmware to fix the issues, because, guess what, USB doesn't work properly.

Yeah, over 200€ down the drain for the Aquaero + multiswitch.

My rig works with an aquaero 5 with no problems.

I don't have another PC, but Shoggy, I am disappointed to say that aquacomputer products have brought me nothing but frustration so far. They are great products on paper, but do not work well.

The aquaero itself is poorly designed and goes haywire everytime you touch the metal rim or when it comes into contact with another metal object such as the case.
Even when it works it freezes every now and then or reboots itself or powers down all the fans connected to it unexpectedly.

The firmware update did not work, aquasuite returned a message in german even though the language was set to English. Poorly translated software. Now aquasuite doesn't even work anymore.

The aquaero is still on firmware 1011.

When I connect the multiswitch to the acquaero it appears in the menu for 1 second, then it disappears. It does not work. Using a different aquabus connector makes no difference.

There is a red LED constantly blinking near the low-speed aquabus connector on the aquaero.

The fans cannot be controlled.

Nothing works properly.

It is a constant battle.

But you don't have to believe me. Head over to the Aquacomputer forums and see for yourself how many people complain about not being able to use it.

EDIT: the funniest thing about it is that when you open the product's box you find a yellow warning message telling you that the product has been rushed to market and therefore has not been properly tested, and also that they did not have the aquasuite software ready when the it was released!
That's how they marketed the product and they couldn't care less about the end users.

Well, I learned my lesson. I'm never buying Aquacomputer stuff again.

got a P8P67 motherboard as well (Pro) , my Aquaero 5 PRO has worked perfectly ever since I got it shortly after they started shipping. smile.gif Just updated the firmware again this afternoon, then spent 5 min putting my settings back with the Aquasuite software (I always reset to default before flashing just to be sure)

Got an AC Highflow meter, aquastream XT Ultra (aquabus), AC RGB LED, ATX powerbreak, 6 temperature sensors and 9*140/3*120/1*80 fans connected to it. Aquaero&Pump both connected to the motherboards USB. I even have some 200hz USB going on with my Logitech mouse, and a Logitech G series keyboard with display as well, but both of those are on a seperate USB hub so they don't interfere I guess.

It costs quite a bit of money, and you need to read into what you're buying/what you need/what you want. Configuration is pretty easy once you've mastered the short but steep difficulty curve. Can't hurt to understand German when looking for info on it either tongue.gif And the cabling can be a mess if you don't plan it out somewhat

But man nothing beats having my system be whisper quiet (largely passively cooled) while surfing, then quietly ramping up the fans to 850ish rpm to maintain a 4.5c Water-Ambient Delta while tearing it up in Battlefield 3 tongue.gif Can't imagine building a watercooled rig without it...

@ wetfit9, the items you want to run are kinda like Phatboy69's massive rig (well he had even more but still). He used a bunch of PA2's to power all the extra fans and pumps. I think you'll mainly need PA2's for the pumps, the fans should be OK if they're low speed models. I run their own Aquastream XT pump, which can be controlled by the aquaero over their own aquabus. Laing pumps will need to be connected to a fan output and will thus load the controller (unless it's a Swiftech 35x PWM pump). I have 3 900 rpm YL 140, 6 1200 rpm YL, and 3 900 rpm NoiseBlocker fans. They load up the aquaero VRMs to about 75c under load which is within specs, I'm using the bigger passive aluminium sink that's standard on the XT version. The watercooled sink will offer a lot more headroom obviously.

I think you're better off contacting Aqua-computer directly (or Phatboy69 tongue.gif ) and asking about what they think is necessary, but I would say that having 2 D5 pumps on the same aquaero will probably be too much even with the waterblock so you'll need at least one PA2

Thanks for the infro. I want to keep it simple yet control everything from one place. So I will contact him. I have my cart filled but want to be sure. That is a lot of money to drop. Also my old fan controller just crap out on me so I have to do some here fast.
