I think G.Skill has lifetime warranty... http://www.gskill.com/en/rmapolicy.html
And Intel should have 3 year warranty, but I am not sure that applies to OEM (since OEM is for builders, who then offer warranty themselves). Did you get any paperwork with the CPU? EDIT: According to Intel's website on OEM support, they don't support it! Although the Core 2 Duo os not listed on this link, I assume the policy is the same: http://www.intel.com/support/process.../cs-001533.htm
Intel Customer Support provides technical support for all Intel® processors. However, any warranty the processor may hold would be through the original vendor or system manufacturer (OEM). Warranty servicing for OEM processors are by the distributor or point of purchase directly.
Vendors purchase processors in large lots which are often referred to as tray or OEM processors. These processors are not individually packaged in a box, they do not include a thermal solution, and the warranty is set and honored by the vendor. Vendors are allowed to sell tray processors directly to the consumer, and warranties can vary from vendor to vendor.
An Intel boxed processor (with retail packaging) is sold in a factory-sealed package. Each boxed processor carries a 3-year limited warranty. In addition, each boxed processor includes an Intel Inside® logo sticker, a thermal solution and an owner's manual.
RMA it. And get retail.

The P5W DH Deluxe he has supports Conroe. And given teh fact that it does not work with the Celeron either, this point is moot.
