Secondly, as mentioned above, I really hardly know anything about overclocking, and I don't actually particularly even want to know (due to the potential consequences if I bork it either simply by accident or by trying to go too far), but I was just wondering if anyone could give me a list of steps to go through to get my CPU safely and stably clocked at 4.5GHz? (which I would then leave it at and probably never touch again) It's only about an increase of two multipliers over what the motherboard has already automatically set, so I can't imagine it would be too difficult.

The asus p8p67 pro is a great overclocking board, I have the same and can push 5ghz no problems. I do not recommend using software to overclock your 2500k, Mainly as it's just so easy and safer to do it manually through the bios, It really is a matter of a few clicks.
