Good 2.1 speakers for under $50?

What's the best I can get under 50 bucks? Needs to have bass control. Moved my 7.1 setup over to the TV and am currently using some tiny speakers meant for laptops..

I bought these recently:

These are honestly about the best you'll find that I know of for $50.

Creative Inspire T3130 - $49.99 free shipping

Recommended those to another member here, and he likes them a LOT better than his Logitech x540 5.1 setup.

These both look pretty sweet. I'll do some research on them. Also.. I would actually love to just spend 20~25 bucks on a 2.1 system, I've seen many. Is the extra $25 worth it?

Absolutely. $20-25 won't get you anything decent in a 2.1 setup.

$20-25 won't get you a good 2.0 setup, let alone a 2.1 setup.

Those Creative speakers are honestly PROBABLY going to be about your best bet, unless you can find a used set of higher end speakers for dirt cheap. I've never personally heard those particular CA speakers, but the ones I have heard sounded pretty bad.

I've probably bought 4 pairs of S-220's already for my friends and family, and for their price, they're downright spectacular.
The satellites are pretty nice, the volume control is great and there's a bass control at the back of the woofer.

Only 28 bucks eh? I was buying an audio conversion cable on amazon and those EXACT speakers where suggested. Has over a thousand buys. But I wonder if the 50 dollar speakers are on a league of their own when comparing to these 30 dollar ones? Or perhaps 30-50 is one range of speaker..

edit: Same deal with new egg. The logitechs have 1.3k buys, creatives 100. Hmm..
