I've got my RAID in 128 strip and it's fast. But VRs' make mine look like it's walking round the Brickyard while everyone else is zipping by. thumb.gif

lol sounds like a plan.. ill update the list when i decide what hardware im deff gonna use.. thanx for the suggestion.. never actually tried to raid before.. time to learn something new... thumb.gif

how significant do you think the performance boost is in using 3 or 4 HDD's in RAID 0 as opposed to just 2??s

The reason that the TH 10 case is winning is because lets face it. Unless you would really want another case..that TH 10 is the last case you would ever need lol

Go with the CaseLabs, you will not regret it. I have a MM Pinnacle 24 with pedestal and the TH10 with pedestal and there is no comparison.

I would have voted the M10 as a better choice, but I went with TH10... when it comes to cases the general rule of thumb is generally bigger = better.

Although that is only true of high-end brands. They don't have time to make junk like the rest.

Definitely consider a M10 though, I am biased having bought one myself though . Just fyi.

Faster. And a helluvalot more expensive. lulz

I'm thinking if you set it up RAID 1 with the VRs' doing the work and say a 2 TB drive for protection and storage(partitioned accordingly) that would be all you'd need for awhile.

If you want speed, go with a LSI raid card and 4 ssd's in raid 0.

That would be wicked sick.

However...

The Gigabyte to Dollar ratio makes the VR RAID setup the obvious choice. SSDs' are still too expensive dollar for dollar. Having one for OS Drive should be plenty for the time being.

not sure i understand what ure sayin... RAID 1 just writes to 2 diff drives.. RAID 0 is what increases speed and performance.. the storage drive wouldnt be RAIDed right??
