[GTX 590] Flashing & Overclocking Thread - Page 4

post #31 of 721
Thread Starter
Its probably my fault, I am juggling so many vBIOSes right now, I have brought down all links, I will be re-uploading them when I am done.

Since the nature of this flashing requires a great deal of accuracy, I will be double/triple check each BIOS, so be patient with new BIOSes.

Edit:
I have just about finished EVGAs section, and have begun making BIOSes, the main ones should be fixed. Please test them, everyone downloaded fine, but I think I got some links backwards when I uploaded them so I was linking them to wrong file. None the less, all old BIOSes were deleted and remade/reuploaded. Let me know if there are any more issues.

ASUS are just down for now. I still need a copy of a patched ASUS BIOS, and all the other vendors.

Can someone confirm if there was a PoV 590?

Edit 2:
Links are down again. Someone has snuck me a bad BIOS, someone converted an ASUS bios to an EVGA one and tried to pass it off as one either knowingly or unknowingly. Almost didn't catch it. Either that or there is a 3rd EVGA BIOS in the wild, I don't feel comfortable using it at this point.

I don't think anyone is affected but if you have a stock clock of 607, you are.

Nothing dangerous, its just wrong.

You sure are juggling many BIOS Cain! Thought it wasn't just me. I had so much experience with the 8800 series /nvflash and /nibitor, I wasn't doing it wrong

I'm not great with the GTX590 voltages, you seem to be more knowledgeable, plus, I don't have a dontated version of nibitor to make a .ROM anymore. I think I'll use software to overclock, rather than have it locked into the BIOS.

@All
There is a second BIOS from people not on HydroCoppers. I think I had both, but I need to confirm it, so I need a clean unmodified Stock EVGA GTX 590, and a Stock unmodified EVGA HydroCopper to be 100% sure (other than mine.)

Re-Arranged the BIOS post and added a third section. All the BIOSes are now unlocked to 1.063v max voltage, as per EVGA leading the way on safety. If you are stock voltage though, the max is unchanged.

Fixed numerous typos and grammar issues, re-arranged post 2 and 3. Made small subtle changes, included a little more general GTX 590 information, but I am also trying to remove some stuff (staying on topic.) Suffice to say I will be continuing work on the first four posts.

EVGA users just use the Patched with the min voltage modified for now.

ASUS (North American) users, just use yours, they are re-uploaded.

EUROPEAN ASUS users, don't flash the North American BIOSes, they are separated by different download sections now. I need a EUROPEAN ASUS bios, your BIOS is actually different slightly. It should work fine in games etc, but it actually specifies NA vs. EU in BIOS. I don't want any warranties denied on those dumb minor details that I obsess over.

@Reigns
I think I finally got a working system to prevent confusion.

@Jug looking good you have my best score beat on GPU score, the GPU usage is crap though. Our scores are on par with GTX 580 SLI, so there is a driver/3DMark Vantage issue.

Use 3DMark11, 99% GPU usage on all 4 GPUS.

I am re-leasing TWO experimental BIOSes for now, if someone wants to play with it. I have not even had time to do it myself. I just deleted over 130 vBIOS I had ready to be put up, and am down to just 8 good / clean ones, and I have uploaded enough to get started for any EVGA/ASUS users.

Using the experimental BIOS in 3DMark11, I would anticipate a GPU score of 19,000~21,000. Combine that with a 4.7~4.8 GHz 980x and you would more than likely have the fastest DUAL GPU score on HWBot... ...so the world.

I am tired, and I have 4 chapters of 18th Century England I have to work on now.

New EVGA Patched BIOS 0.963V BIOS works a treat buddy. It no longer underclocks the card to 0.888V when the card is idle anymore though. However, Its not like I give a stuff about power saving

Going to give it a whirl on 3D Mark 11 with 700/1900 and post back.
