It is just odd that the idle temps are so different.

Does any one know what side of the card is GPU 1 and which side is 2?
From my experience it isnt a 100% static which is which. You can go by GPUz and BIOS. I believe the GPU with the fan connector/Power supply is considered number one.

For me #1 has always been hotter which would make me believe that 1 is indeed the GPU closest to the fan header and power connectors.

#1 is a bit hotter for me under load, but DEFINITELY not on idle. (20c difference)

(whatever MSI Afterburner and Precision consider #1)
using nvidia driver. 285.38 windows 8. BIOS EVGA (Special) Stock Clock - 0.963v Min-1.063v Max - 100% Fan. And MSI Afterburner 2.2.8

Core 730 mem 1728 0.950V NO PDL!! Havent tried to go higer! wana try 3dmark 11, but it wont start! maybe it windows 8?. Heaven 2.5 and everyting else works! gaming is super smooth! Air coling.
PDL is for soft mainly. not overall perfomance in browsers and stuff

Hey guys, got a quick question. Planning a "different" build, wondering what is the absolute minimum amount of radiator to cool a mildly OC'd 590? Single loop by itself. From what I can tell my case might fit 3x120 sized radiators with some effort, even though tubing might be crazy, will that be enough?
i would say 3x120 is enough for one 590, and 4x120 is really great for low temps high clocks.
using 9x120 for CPU and 2x590 i'm keeping uder 50C under load, so -CPU and -one 590 = ~3-4x120

Cool thanks. Looking at it I think I can fit a pair of 120's and a 240 so I may try to throw the 2500k in the loop as well. Its all going in a mATX thats on the small side of the form factor so its going to be fun. Ordering parts this week, gonna get started building it next week probably.

also you can try to make "rad" box

what is really bothers now is VRM (backplate) temps - i can hold hand on them for an hour if there will be need of it but i think they're too hot

We'll see, I'm trying to fit it all in the case without too much cutting. I have a few ideas kicking around, I haven't got to do a custom build like this in a few years. The 590 ended up being the winner for GPU since the 6990 is too long, and I had a crap experience with it anyways (2 failed in less than 2 weeks.)
