Why does my entire computer shutoff, then restarts itself when I try to bench (3dmark 11) over 1.013 volts? It occurs before it finishes loading the first stage.

Sounds like PSU Issue
you should raise the MINIMUM p2 level voltage in the bios (also the max). With software it is disable to tweak within this range, as you would normally do with afterburner.
So set minimum p2 to 1V and you get 1V

You are sure that your PSU provides enough power over the rails you have connected it too? I had my PC also shutting of when connecting both 8 pin pci-express to the same rail; just sucked too much juice from one rail.

It's not the best performing driver in the world, but it has unlocked voltage control which is a godsend for those of us who want to push an Overclock properly!

I would suspect PSU as has been said - if it was just the card then normally the screen would black out and you'd hear the fan on the card ramp down to idle. The 590 (especially when overclocked) pulls a lot of power from the wall.

Theres still voltage control, I just have to bump it in the bios; thats all.
I can understand that is not what all users want to do (voiding the warranty).

0.975-0.988v should do you for that clock mate!
Thank you!

Faust, could be this volts good for my Mod Bios?.

Thank you!
