[GTX 590] Flashing & Overclocking Thread - Page 51

same here i flashed my hydro cooper with 1.05v and i get only 0.975 on gpu-z and after burner anyting above 0.975 is useless...
Voltage is locked by the drivers. Max voltage with current drivers is 0.963v. Max voltage 2 drivers ago was 0.975v.

Last unlocked driver set was 280.19 or something like that. Check a few pages back in this thread.

Personally I really hope they unlock them again soon because my watercooled card can do alot more than is currently possible.

Isn't a "hydro cooper" one of those little cars you can drive into a lake and use for a boat?

yeahh we needsomeone to tweak the last driver plzzz to unlock the voltage !

it's suck to have a watercoooolled card and only 0.963 max mad.gif
post #505 of 721
If you want more voltage yust mod the min and max voltage to the same number for example set the "settings 2" In the Nibitor voltage settings to 1.063/1.063 (original is in my card 0.913/0.963 = max voltage for overclocking 0.963) . You get 1.063V in 3D and nvidia driver can not do anything about it :-) .

but be where with this setting you card get OCP in lower voltage then whit driver raiseup ... so you must test what is max for your card my is 1.013 . Higger voltage get OCP :-(

I'll be going through this, too, with both of my cards. Is there a link to a tutorial I can read through while I'm flashing the BIOS?

I've had no luck flashing the BIOS listed at EVGA that unlocks the fan speed so they can run at 100%, instead of the stock 95% max.

I've asked EVGA about it 9 times in their Forum and they still haven't answered.

They won't even say what the # of the stock BIOS is, compared to the # of the new BIOS, so the only way I can tell it didn't take is by the 95% max. fan speed with both of my cards.

I'd much rather be able to read the instructions on my tablet or netbook while I'm flashing a vga BIOS. They're much too easy to brick.

With my mobo's, I let the ASUS Update program do all the work. If one of them happens to be bricked then ASUS will replace the mobo.

Not so if I accidentally flash a non-stock BIOS on my videocards and brick them. I'd just be stuck with a pair of $750 paperweights.

Hi @ all!

Is my first post here...I saw that all of you have a great passion for overclocking!!! biggrin.gif:D

Ok...here is my question:

I get 2 GTX590 from Zotac with 2 EK Waterblock.

I read the question of bioses that limit the overclock and overvolt....I just flashed the cards with Palit bios linked in the first page.

With this (at air) I can push my card with 0.975 v at 725 - 1950 for one and 735 - 1950 with the older 280.19 driver of course.

This test was made with one card not in quad sli.

I install my pc with waterblock but i can't run quad sli with 280.19.

I try with the last driver and the quad sli work perfectly but I can't overvolt the cards!!!mad.gif

Is a driver that make me possible the quad sli and is unlocked???

Thank you!

Bye!smile.gif
