Nice buy and good luck with them, I had a similar thread up for a few weeks now with the same question. In the end I ended up getting the Mushkin Redlines 2133 8gb kit which was on a weekend sale.

Before I ordered I called Gskill they said that these sticks would be awesome for the board and was also nice enough to tell me the max voltage for the sticks which is 1.65 v down side new egg screwed up my order address and mailed them to somewhere in nc haha had to call them and they are trying to re direct it back to new egg and overnight a set to me so if all goes well I should have then tomorrow. If not it will take about 10-15 days to get it. minor set back

But yea, like pmrballer123 said, your ram will work with your board.
Hi,

Would these sticks be a better deal for the since they are only $6 more right now????

I don't think so. Though they may run at a faster speed, the timing is much looser negating any benefits and will most likely perform worse. 9-9-9-24 vs. 11-11-11-30.

Yes I noticed that but I am not aware or ignorant of how much a difference in the timings is vs the increase in speeds. Those higher timings would make that much of a difference when compared to the increased speed?

You could always underclock to like 1600 and get the timings around cas 7 or 8 at the least.

ok, I bypassed getting the 4gbx2 GSkill Ripjaws 2133(17000) for $69 because of the 11-11-11-30..... I found the 4gbx2 Gskill sniper 1866(14900) cl9 for the same price..... during my research I have found many contradicting statements and I am still confused......
With my AMD OC setup... Is it better for me to run the new ram at the cl9 stock settings in my bios or should I try to run them at 6-6-6-18 or 7-8-7-24..... if so would I have been able to tighten the original ram I looked at gskill 2133(pc3 17000) 11-11-11-30 at say 9 or 8 by any chance?

Appreciate anyone's knowledge on the differences here....
