We all know that there is no way that I can compete with 2 2600k's. So go ahead and do what you gotta do to make yourself feel better. It's not my fault that your 400,000+ point Wu's aren't dropping sooner. I'm just in that position to where I have had a bigadv Wu drop everyday for a few days now and will continue for the next couple of days at least.
But like I said before, everyone here knows that there is no way that my 2x i7's, 3x GTX 480's, and GTX 570 can keep up with all your other stuff and 2x 2600k's. It would have been nice, or dare I say more sportsman like, of you to have started the competition with the same stuff you were gonna finish it with. I know its allowed by the rules and all. Ehh, whatever. I was still giving you a run for your money for a while there. I guess I made you sweat enough to make you re-evaluate your equipment. Good luck and happy folding.
I have more time to answer you now.
First off, unless you're not reporting some stuff in your hfm, most of your points do
come from gpus.
I don't have 400k wu's. If
I have the luck of the draw, I might get one on my TC 2600k because it's running linux, and the most I can get is 263k. 2600k-2 is a windows machine, and it can't pick up big ones. It's also clocked low enough that your 1st gen i7's can be competitive because stock cooling is a joke.
Now, on to the main part. This all started because you went on a tirade about me underestimating you. You were mad because I said I would be able to catch you even after shutting down for the hot part of the summer.
I wasn't lying
I've had most of the parts for this other machine for a while. You pushed me to finish it. Then I sat on it for a week before deciding to flick the switch.
You talked a big game about adding all sorts of hardware. Something about "money where your mouth is" comes to mind.
