Corsair vx450 or Corsair gs600? - Page 3

No... it's not... not by a long shot.

The VX450 is a S12II unit with only decent build quality. The GS600 is above average in my respects and it's ONLY short coming is the use of Teapo Capacitors on the secondary. Though; the Teapo's used will LONG outlast the warranty.

PC Power & Cooling Turbo Cool units that are 7 years old now used Teapos and are still running. They were also built like the German King Tiger tank.

What...no... you're just talking out of your rump...

The GS Series is better built than the old TX750/TX850 units for that matter.

I think I have to go with corsair600.
The GS600 is the best value and better than the VX450. Apparently the other posters in this thread can't be bothered to use Google.

Tator Tot has said. Both are fine for your system. vx450 is solid old school SeaSonic unit but it only can do 33a on 12v vs. better average GS600 can do 48a on 12v.

The GS600. It's just fine. Some people here almost seem to give you the impression it's going to explode in your face or something, lol. Get it, and it will power your stuff perfectly ok.

Sigh. You know I know this, so please take that into consideration and then reconsider what I was actually trying to do by saying it the way I said it.

That was rude, Tator Tot.

Why do you talk to others this way sometimes? What's worse is you are the Managing Editor. I mean, it's not like you're just some random OCN member.

Would you talk to us like this in person? What if we were all in a room together just hanging out? If we were, then would you still say these things?

What you should do is get a Corsair CX430 Builder Series - it's 25$ on Tigerdirect, and I hear good things of that PSU.

Yes, I would. I have and will mock folks who don't take the time to make an informed and accurate statement. I don't expect perfection; but I do expect effort.

You may see it as mean, but I see what you're doing as a travesty. Even if what you are saying is sound and won't hurt the other user; wrong is wrong. That's how misinformation is spread. That's also why you have things like fanboys.

I like quality content, not a large amount of it. Most posters are only capable of posting, not making quality posts.

It's a solid little guy, but you should invest more into a unit unless it's for a very low end build.

Yes, but there are much better ways to correct people. I think I have demonstrated the better ways hundreds and hundreds of times during my time here on OCN. There is absolutely no justification for being rude like that - I don't care HOW wrong the person is, and I don't care how correct the person thinks they are when they're wrong!

It's one thing for some random low-profile member to talk like you sometimes do, but you're a Managing Editor. If I were a staff member, then I would be making damn sure that I'm extra careful about what I say, and about how I say everything.
