Cool, thanks, Blitz!! I'm going to leave it in place now, but I might shut it off when I go on vacation next month so there is no chance of it crashing my folding client. Thanks for the help!

For some reason my backup.sh file keeps deleting itself after keeping about 9 hours worth of backups, any ideas?

There's enough room. It seems to have stopped now that I've moved the backup.sh file to the desktop and not the home folder.

Yup, that's another thing that needs to be fixed. The backup.sh file shouldn't be in the same folder as the backup folder because it'll start deleting itself eventually.

lol, Ill get the guide fixed up when I get some time later today. Glad we are ironing out all the bugs =)

Great guide on windows. But also shouldn't this be moved to the F@H guides forum?

Hmm.. For some reason, my backup.sh shell works fine manually, but the script does not automatically back it up. I do have both the shell and the backup folder in my /home/user directory. Is that the issue?

Have been setting up this in WIndows and Cobian, but a problem arises whenever a new WU is begun and it tries to backup it. Using Ubutnu 10.04 on three machines (two native and one VM) and the problem is present on all.
Code:
ERR 2011-10-21 13:47 Couldn't copy the file "\\virtu\fah\work\logfile_01.txt": Access is denied
ERR 2011-10-21 13:47 Couldn't copy the file "\\virtu\fah\work\wuinfo_01.dat": Access is denied

I have set this to allow "too" much permission:
Code:
sudo chmod 777 -R /home/username/fah

I have enabled file sharing and ticked all the boxes when doing it in from the GUI, guest acces and such. Tried applying 'chmod 777' to the work fold too but that doesn't do anything still craps out when a new WU is trying to be backuped. It works like it's supposed to only if I do the 'chmod 777' after each new WU which isn't very automatic I feel. The logfile_xx.txt in the work folder have problems even if it's not a new WU, but that's a file that's not neccesary to have but the .dat is kinda important (and annoyning it won't get copied).

Thanks in advance.

To answer both of you, for some reason we had it working at one time but need to fine tune the linux side, Once I can get a scripter in here we will get it fixed soon.
