Should I pull the trigger?

Thread Starter
I kind of want to play Batman:AA(and GC), Mafia II, Metro 2033, and Mirrors Edge with PhysX on, is it worth 40 bucks for a 9800GTX+ or would that slow me down alot? Only got 40 bucks or so.

Any PhysX card with an ATI setup will increase FPS when PhysX is being utilized.

That's a really hot card for PhysX though.

a 9800GTX would be fine for PhysX, and for $40, if you think it's worth it then go ahead. I found personally that it wasn't worth having a dedicated PhysX GPU as there are only a few games that utilise it, and to have it sitting there when I play other games with it still being powered seems a waste.

But it's worth it while you actually play those games, PhysX does definitely add to the game experience, and the 9800GTX can handle it fine. You can always sell it again after you finish those games.

Actually yes it is. A 9800GTX+ will be plenty fine. I used a 9600GSO in all of those games listed.

Do it OP!
