You are better off finding a 4L piece and alting for a good role or alcing it and crossing fingers.

Didn't the forum determine that your odds are technically 1/500 to get a 6L? Most of the 6Ls I've seen people craft were either 10-30 fusings or 1000+ lol.

I actually don't know. I'm not rich enough to have to research it. The last couple 6L that I have seen created were just over 2500 and about 1700.

I did a quick search on the odds and all i could see on page one was "1200 fusings and no 6L", "500 Fusings and no 5L" etc. tongue.gif

Edit: what a great way to set up a currency, I love it. HC ROA Maurader lvl62 and going strong!

I've been going super casual on this since it hit open beta, closed beta I was much more active. Playing through a fir Witch now and just got to Act 3 on Normal, mobs took a big jump in strength from end of Act II to Act III.

Slightly related, with the most recent patch they changed the drop rates of unique items - how does one determine if a unique is common, uncommon or rare within the unique rarity?

I believe uniques that are build defining are common uniques compared to uniques that are just plain overpowered.

For example, Facebreakers would be common and Kaom's Heart/Lioneye's Glare would be rare.

Soon to be 9 Cleaves a second and will continue to rise. Flicker strike is 11. Any other contenders for spammiest/most nauseating attack?

Smiling all the way. Hooray for Default League.

No, 2.2 total in a second. Multistrike and cleave chop your physical damage quite a bit, but in return you get all of the life leech and mana leech you have 9 times a second. Pretty nice. Especially since, as you can see, I have almost no life or defense passives. biggrin.gif

Edit: I have no chance to play hardcore because of constant desync problems, so I decided to make my default character as exciting as possible by making it as squishy as possible without completely breaking it. However, at this point I have discovered that with so many attacks a second, desync is no longer my problem, it's the monsters'. biggrin.gif

Try to add wrath/anger/hatred in your build. Because the way armor scales, physical damage becomes exponentialy weaker when you get less of it. You deal very low physical damage with each hit so enemy armour will absorb a lot of damage. Elemental damage however scales lineary so it should give you a big boost to your damage (real damage not tooltip dps).

All true. If you want to go pure physical you should never sacrafice raw damage for attack speed. You want to go for the biggest hit possible. At that point physical should scale much better than elemental. With the 9 aps your elemental damage will scale awesome. Add the auras and link WED, you can swap with any physical modifier gem you use. Use a resistance reduction curse and you are off to the races.

I would also grab the Templar weapon elemental nodes if you haven't already.

Templar weapon elemental nodes are too far away. The only one I've got decent access to in the +30% cold damage from weapons, which is nothing to sneeze at I guess.

I tried elemental damage in cruel and it didn't work, and just tried it again in the first act of merciless and it isn't working well either. I do more damage sure, but not significantly more, and my life regeneration is cut by enough that I can't stay alive in the middle of a crowd as easily. I guess I should have mentioned that I'm using this in combination with Vulnerability, which is currently adding 30% more physical damage at my level, so I still get a fair amount of physical through even though the damage per hit is low.

Main thing is I've only got a 4-link chest piece, so my options are very limited. I can't add elemental damage without giving up 40% of my physical damage or 36% of my attack speed.redface.gif As soon as I have more links though my only option is to add elemental damage, so that's a given as I push towards 60.

Note: I already have mana problems so another aura is out of the question right now until I pick either more mana leech or mana gain on kill. Running out of mana is insta-death. I go from being a circle of carnage to getting one-shotted as soon as I stop swinging. biggrin.gif

Oh, and I just realized there's more elemental damage nodes to the right side that I'm only one point away from having access to, so I can skyrocket my elemental damage by backing out of a few phys damage nodes and grabbing those if it's necessary, but right now it's not necessary, and I'd need weapons with more elemental damage to make it worthwhile.
