Nvidia has some sick performance i know but i prefer ATi even thou sometimes theres some driver issues(SUCKS) and nvidia has less(either one has at least some issue, but more than the other).

Id advise you to wait and see what BD brings, I built my entire rig with it in mind, everything in my sig is there to take advantage of BD.

And yes, Im taking the gamble(to me its a sure thing)that BD will be able to push these cards in trifire and higher.

About bottlenecking. I even saw it on this cpu with 2 5770's in my old pc. I notice that on any game that is anywhere near new( DX9+) my 5770's would run from 50-80%
They werent running at full load because of my cpu. If this was happening with 2x5770's, then you can imagine what higher end gpu's bring.

I wouldnt worry about it and wait for BD and the 7xxx Series so you can get cheaper 6970's.

Would you mind telling me why you want more power? You are running a very similar system to mine and I would like to know what you lack in graphical performance. I spend all day making sure my performance is top notch so maybe I can help you out.

In all honesty the only time I seen bottlenecking is when I'm video encoding with DXVA and the graphics cards is working so slow it causes audio lags and other errors.

Encoding with just my processor completes the task about 3x faster and more accurately.

The GPU has a specific task and your processor has 4 cores running that work with the GPU. true Bottlenecking is a think of the past i think
I would easily notice it, look at witcher 2, huge CPU game. Also, matter of cores doesn't matter, it's core to core performance.

I only changed the cpu and the motherboard. Everything else was the same and there is NO DIFFERENCE.

Please stop the AMD is bottlenecking your video card BS.

Is Sandy Bridge faster? Without question. But it's not the huge change you might think buy reading all these posts....
I love AMD processors, but it's a fact right now. Waiting for BD or 2011 myself. Always have had a soft spot for AMD CPUs, and just got a soft spot that AMD took over ATI fully.

Sucks big time. About going Sandy, not really.I could in the future(have the money to buy sandy mobo if i wanted up to $250 mobo if i wanted), but then ill have to spend more on a new processor(no amd).I actually spent 800 on those HIS 6970 Factory OC and can push it harder if i wanted.I also do some video editing and encoding(Nvidia in favor,no doubt).Ive owned before nvidia(GTS 250 i think it was or gt lol).
0_o, I paid 580 for both of mine.
